Question: Can a woman compete against men as well as against women?

Short answer is yes
the sledding governing body has declared that the 4 man (person) bobsledding will be gender neutral from now on
both humphries and the US women's team can compete on the circuit as long as they qualify..thru some lesser competitions
since they are both national team ..teams also..they can compete against women in the world cup circuit too..
that's the way I read it...
biggest issue will be scheduling. .and ..finding the time..I would think that if she pilots for both...fatigue may factor into this...even though she is ONE HEALTHY LOOKING LADY!!!!

So, she can medal twice in the same event as a "gender neutral" and as a "woman"? Interesting. What other sports can be "gender neutral"? I'm thinking curling, darts, shooting, chess, etc.

Fencing, equestrian events, luge, not sure why skiing events can't be there.
