Even though this article is 1 man's opinion, I believe this is what's going to happen.
Trudeau was the worst PM in Canadian history who took his policies straight from Carney.
Now Carney is going to take it 2 steps further.
Canada, we're fucked.
What people seen in Carney is beyond me.

Maybe Carney's appeal is that the man is wicked smart & quite accomplished?
PP will tell you about his middle class upbringing, with both adoptive parents being teachers.
Carneys dad was also an educator & his mom a housewife. So, I'd call their early years somewhat comparable, actually I'd give the edge to PP with both parents working likely bringing in more than Carneys father did.
Carney went to Harvard for his Bachelors Degree- that's already a pretty impressive accomplishment.
He landed gig with Goldman Sachs, which is THE top tier US investment bank. Pretty impressive.
During his time at Goldman he got his Masters & Doctorate from Oxford. Holy jeez!
Governor of the BoC.
Recruited by the Bank of England to be its Governor - the only non-Brit to hold this position since its inception. Pretty fuckin' good, eh! Plus, its referred to as "Governor". not, "Guv'ner", so that shows its a classy gig.
Senior gigs at the UN, with Bloomberg, and with Brookfield. Not too shabby.
Parachuted in to save the Canadian Liberal party, and currently serving as Canada's 24th Prime Minister.
Honestly, how can anyone NOT see the appeal of having someone like this at the helm. Stephen Harper tried to recruit Carney, during his tenure as BoC governor, to join the Conservative party. Carney declined. Would you be questioning his credentials if he was a Conservative?
Poilievre's accomplishments - hmmmm. essentially a career politician. Blew a double-digit lead going into the election. Turfed by his own riding in same election. What do you see in Poilievre that would suggest greater capabilites than those of Carney?

Because they say he is a "globalist" along with various other strawmen.
I don't know what's wrong with being a globalist anyway.

I don't think it's humanly possible to be worse than Trudeau.

But Carney will carry out the same agenda with verbiage to fool the masses.

If a car is going in the wrong direction it doesn't matter how good the driver is.

Carney is going in the right direction. The right direction for him and him only.

The argument is that globalists aren't always acting in the best interest of their electorate. It's all fine if the voters repeatedly support this agenda. If, however, there is a lot of smoke and mirrors every election this is something that globalists need to be challenged on and answer.

Carney might be a great Prime Minister.
However, a lot of your justification seems to lean hard on the idea that only people with a certain educational pedigree and certain white shoe investment bank experience are the more qualified to be the leader of a G-7 country.

I live in the U.S. and know that Hank Paulson the former head of Goldman Sachs pushed for China to be accepted into the WTO even though their economy was not open and the Chinese Community party was behind many business enterprises. He later became Secretary of Treasury and helped engineer the 2008 bank bailouts that seemed to save and protect the big banks and their executives over other interest groups.

So long story short, I don't buy the argument that an elite banker is better to run a country. It makes for a nice story though.

You know, during the 1st Gulf War, Iraqi tankcrews who were lucky enough to be captured, rather than incinerated, were shocked to see that some American tanks had pictures of Erwin Rommel posted inside. The Iraqis couldn't understand why the Americans would honor a man who had been their enemy in a previous war. The American tankcrews recognized Rommel for his abilities, and admired his skills and leadership (as did Patton during WW2).
But, the ignorant, illiterate Iraqis troops couldnt understand the concept. To those stupid fucks, you hate those who you believe to be your enemy. I guess the same applies to Canadian stupid fucks as well. Now, I'm not saying that you, DesRicardo, are a stupid fuck, but it seems to me that lots of CPC stupid fucks hate Carney simply because he chose the Liberals and not the Conservatives. Both parties courted the man, because he is a VERY accomplished and capable individual. You dont think a good driver wouldnt be able to turn a car around, if it actually was going the wrong direction?
Would Poilievre carry out the same agenda as, say, Diefenbaker? You know, the man who cancelled the Arrow?
Of all the choices available to Canadians in this election, Carney was CLEARLY head & shoulder above the others. You dont know any more than I do what agenda he will pursue, What is known is that this man has an INCREDIBLE track record of accomplishments.
Perhaps Canadian members of the CPC should consider to not to be like Iraqi tankers.

Oh I don't know maybe because he was a key advisor to Justin and got Canada into the financial mess that it's in right now.

He of course is saying he was an outsider but no one worth their salt actually believes that.

He's a net zero guy...Good luck with that.

The intention wasnt to push the idea that "an elite banker is better to run a country". I regret that you read it that way.

Are you mad bc you’re not going get tax breaks you feel you’re entitled to, and no moves to privatize all public services like healthcare and education, and not give in to the demands of the orange wannabe dictator?
I hear a violin somewhere lol.
Carney, lesser of the two evils.
