SI in a recent article referred to the cowardly Leafs as the dirtiest team in the League. The talentless cheapskate artists were referred to as "goons". They're dragging down the tradition of hockey to cross-checking, boarding, slashing, elbowing, spearing and holding. They bemoaned the fact that they're turning hockey into WWF on ice. Stand at the blue line and hack down your competition. Just stopped short of calling them what they are - "Assholes" ..... hehehe.
Just remember that Sports Illustrated called the Leafs this year the dirtiest team

This also reminds me of that game with gilmore against LA kings and Gretsky: If they leafs went anywhere NEAR making contact with the great one they got a penalty and LA ran roughshod over the leafs without even a whistle......

I love hockey as much as the next guy/gal, but JP GET OVER IT!
The Sens sucked Saturday. The Leafs were anxious to get revenge for the 7-1 loss in their previous meeting. In short, the game meant more to TO than Ottawa. These are two very good hockey teams who will continue to beat each up, which makes for lots of excitment and entertaining hockey.
Too bad moronic fans on both sides fail to recogize and appreciate this in vain futile attempts to glorify one side. The one thing I admire about the Montreal media is when the Habs suck, they say so. No excuses! When they play well, they report that. Maybe that's why guys like Red Fisher, senile as he maybe who call'em as they see'em are a dying breed in the media. Instead we are left the Joe Bowen's who has a Maple Leaf tatooed on his ass (I use him as an example every team has one) and the Al Strachan's who make it up as they go in order to create headlines dominating the media.
