Check the app Doggcatcher. Best in class podcaster for Android. Worth every penny.

Are you trying to sync your podcasts and updates back and forth between iTunes? If so, Doggcatcher does not do that. I haven't found a reliable program that does. I wish Google would address this.

Until it happens, you're going to have to manage and store podcasts on your Android phone.

I'm not an expert on podcasts, but I listened to one and I used Google Listen.

I don't want podcasts about Androids but I just want to listen to podcasts on my Android . I guess what I am saying is what Android's version of iTunes . What happens if I want to listen to a audio book

That's where things get tricky.

Coming from an iPhone, you're probably use to running everything through iTunes. There is no iTunes with Android.

Doggcatcher plays podcasts fine, it just doesn't sync to iTunes. You will need to search, subscribe and listen from Doggcatcher. With audio books, I assume you will use the default music player app or a third party app. I'm not 100% sure as I'm not a big user of them.

You're going to have to do some googling and research here.
