Is anyone planning to take in any of the Canadian Junior A Championship since it's on our doorstep in Mississauga?
Hmmm, interesting.No
But here is hoping Owen Sound kicks Mississauga's ass.
Oddly enough, if OS does beat them, they both go; Mississauga as host and OS as Champion. No

I was listening to McCowan and Melnyk interview yesterday and Bob pretty much hit it in the head with Mississauga. Junior team's cannot built an identity in a suburb of a large market. Mississauga does not have separate TV, separate radio, separate news - those are all delievered from Toronto which has "bigger" things to talk about. Their junior teams just get loss in the shuffle of what is going on in the big city. The media spends so much time just talking NHL that the playoff run the dogs have been on has been ignored . Heck the Rock are doing well also but they are ignored .
Where's the "like" button?No

They are both going as two teams from the host team's league make up two of the four teams invovled.Oddly enough, if OS does beat them, they both go; Mississauga as host and OS as Champion.
Not to nitpick but the Jr. A Championship is the RBC Cup (in Camrose this year), not the Memorial Cup.Is anyone planning to take in any of the Canadian Junior A Championship since it's on our doorstep in Mississauga?
The IceDogs playoff run ended a week ago when they were knocked out by the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors.guyroach said:The media spends so much time just talking NHL that the playoff run the dogs have been on has been ignored
They have both already clinched a spot regardless of who wins.blackrock13 said:Oddly enough, if OS does beat them, they both go; Mississauga as host and OS as Champion.

Who's playing in the Finals tonight? I'm so torn so, like a Habs/Leafs game, I'm gong to crack a wobbly pop or two, some salsa and corn chips, then watch the game.Go Owen Sound! Woot! Woot! St. Mike's is trying to relive past glory... Those days are long gone.
