JPEG picture disc

I'm creating a JPEG picture disc for an upcoming family event and Im curious how long I should set the display time for each picture to show for,,,,I dont want them to run to fast, or too slow is no good either
Im thinking 10 seconds, any thoughts?

It depends on how many pictures there are, more than 20 minutes worth and people will get bored. I would say 10 seconds maximum, but scale it down if there are more than 100 or so pictures.

I have over 200 possible pictures but I am going to weed thru them , I was thinking of 15 or 20 minutes total display time and auto repeat them so they display continuously , its an open house so people will be comming & going , its not like Im forcing folks to sit down & watch my slide show LOL

I have a friend who does this stuff for a living. I think he makes a distinction between photos that are being viewed as a "show" as opposed to ones that are just running passively in the background.

My guess is that if folks are sitting there watching the show from end to end, anything more than 8 - 10 seconds would be about right. If it's just running somplece in the background, then longer would be fine I think...

My thoughts exactly, however you might want to cut the ones of Grannie in her lingerie to 0.000346 seconds so no one loses their sight.

It really depends on content, however long it takes to sufficiently drink it in. As little as seven seconds for some stupid picture of you and as much as two minutes for a work of art.
