I accidently deleted some vacation photos from my SD memory card. Can somebody recommend a good free memory card recovery software? Also, is the software relatively simple to use? Thanks.

Yes, I Googled and yes here are free software out there but I need to hear from people who have actually used these software.

My memory card included a link to this website. I haven't tried it but assume if they put their name to it, it must be pretty good. www.transcend-info.com/recoverx

Recuva from Piriform. I can't comment to SD success, but I managed to retrieve (some) files from a hard drive after it was formatted.

Technically, because of the way SD cards and SSDs store files (with and embedded controller that tries to spread writes), files should be easier to recover, especially if you cease writing to the device. (You should stop writing to the device.) With that being said, I've never tried and I'm on Linux... Though I have used other Piriform products on other people's computers. I like them.
