Well he lost and he won't be a Tory for long, it's reported he'll resign this afternoon. I'm not a consertative but I think he was a decent guy maybe to honest to be a politician kind of like Joe Clarke. Maybe he'll run for Toronto mayor and I think he has a good shot at it this time.

Sjeeeess, I hope not. Why can't he just get a job at Rogers. If he wants
more humiliations he should go to a dominatrix.

if his judgement (or lack thereof) remains consistant, he'll stay on and fight.

If he runs for mayor, I would vote for him.

I'd like to make up for my mistake in voting for Miller in the first place.

It's proof that democracy works!

The man has NO judgment and should not be in politics.

Just raking in the cash at Rogers is not a qualification for office.

I hope he does not run for mayor of Toronto. Miller is bad enougfh but this guy is worse.

Why do so many posters say he is a nice guy? He does not seem particularly nice to me.

Nice Dens
Tory was a much better back room operator than a politician. Good fund raiser, well connected with the biz crowd. Wonder what will happen to the PC MPP that was kicked out of the PC caucus a few months ago when he openly suggested that John Tory was an anchor on the party?

The tories need the next Mike Harris in order to succeed. Without a guy like that, they are probably doomed. Say what you want about Mike, he was a popular politician (outside of Toronto) and even small L Liberals like me voted for him (and would again).

Harris, like Harper was a failure as a leader. He—either one—failed because he divided the population, and the portion that actually admired and agreed with his mean-spirited, ideologically dictated policies was never more than a minority. What passed for electoral success for both was due to lack of effective alternatives, not to their popularity.

And we needn't discuss the botch either one made of actually governing.

What the country and the province need is leadership that resonates with the majority, and that's neither liberal left nor rigid right, but firmly in the middle where most of us are.

The only time Harris was centrist, was on his better golf outings.

Consistently idiotic, as well as off topic, not to mention you havn't had a new thought for the last 7 years.

You'd blame the weather on Harris if you could.
