He sure did. I liked his piece, "Sexual Harassment: How to Do It", along with the stories "My Penis" and "My Vagina".

I am sorry to hear he has died.

John Hughes wrote and directed Planes Trains and Automobiles. For that he deserves my ultimate respect. Definitely an 80's icon, RIP.

That's too bad. I liked a lot of his movies.

I got dragged into the theatre to see The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles by my girlfriend and ended up thinking P in P was ok and really liking Breakfast Club.
My girlfriend said 'it's about six teens in detention', I said 'who plays me?' There was the first reality show. Sitting in detention bored to tears having to write an essay.

I was very sad to hear of his passing today.I loved his movie"Some kind of wonderful" with Eric Stoltz,Lea Thompson, and Mary Stuart Masterson. One of my favs of all time.Pretty well all of his movies are cult classics(The cult being anyone who grew up in the 80's and had their heart broken).John Bender(Judd Nelson-Breakfast club) will always be a classic character to me.

When I was younger never paid much attention to obits. Now being older I am astonished at the number of people who die way too early! RIP John.

The character of Long Duck Dong in Sixteen Candles was a racist depiction of Asians.
