Was Trump's administration the most corrupt since...well....Reagan? He had Iran-Contra plus a bunch more scandals that led to people being arrested. I don't recall too many with Clinton, non with Obama. Trump faces legal jeopardy for his actions, and we know an number of people he worked with in the last election were charged...

This investigation is related to Trump's businesses before he even set foot in the WH.

Reagan had way more people actually arrested or indicted, didn't he?
Of course, Reagan didn't have control of the Senate. Trump's admin seems at least as corrupt, just not held to the same standard.

That's the thing. The GOP seems to have decided that if it's their guy he can do nearly anything without any punishment. I mean, Richard Nixon resigned because he knew his party members would vote to impeach (and probably convict). Trump arguably did worse things (with the second impeachment) by starting an attempted coup...

It's funny, Roger Ailles, the dude who started Fox News worked for Nixon. He pitched the idea of a pro-GOP station network to get their message out, and avoid another Watergate scandal. And, well, it worked. I mean, imagine if Obama did a tenth of what Trump did. How quickly would the GOP have started to impeach him?

Reagan's administration was not run for his personal benefit and that of his friends.

The lesson they learned from Nixon is that they have to stick together no matter what.

They said in advance they would impeach Hilary Clinton if she won. They will impeach Biden if they ever get the House and Senate back.

In NIxon's day the Repugs had enough integrity to actually hold him accountable, so he resigned. Reagan got off because he lost his mind and couldn't remember anything. Trump was impeached but acquitted twice due to partisan blindness. The courts will not be so blindly corrupt, I suspect.

And this obviously does not have Trump but we know the top echelon of his campaign not to mention IG bringing criminal charges to his DOJ for 4 cabinet secretaries that his DOJ squashed....Regardless there is a clear and distinct pattern differentiating Dem v Repub administrations.

Trump's will have to have a separate category for pardoned crimes. Did any of the others do that, besides Ford pardoning Nixon?...

I think that is true. The crimes and corruption were less focused on personal benefit and more on other goals.
