What will be the future jobs in this country? The auto industry is going down the shitters, so do we all have to go back to university and hope we find a job when we graduate? Or should I go back and hangout with Tubbs in Florida?

Go to the States. Jobs are booming that country. Most engineering jobs people have a hard time finding. The market is quite slim, and government jobs still require English and French, which makes it harder. I think health care is doing well and always will have a future. Nursing, ultrasound, all that.

Face to face jobs won't go away. There a necessity for human interaction. Banks, public transit, sales, u get the idea. Technical jobs it will be hard. U will have to go to other countries, it's heaven. Places like India, US, China will keep u on the toes.

We'll all be designing MySpace pages for Chinese and Indian kids to make them look "western".

or we'll all be SPs. Take your pick.

Finance and legal are the only high paying jobs that will be left here. Even medical jobs will eventually be outsourced to India and China, so help us God.

I've already taken the first steps in obtaining a franchise in the next big thing in the fast-food industry - Soylent Green!
My future is secure already.

It depends on your field. There's more new jobs if you're looking at stats from last 2 yrs.

True, there's fewer engineer work but if you work for good CDN firm with international presence, tons of overseas work. Many Middle-east & Asian companies perfer CDN firms than U.S. due to politial views.
