All I know for sure is that I was on an outdoor ice rink at the one room schoolhouse that I went to and was told the news, which I didn't first believe. Thanks for the reminder.

Poor Aldous Huxley died the same day but no one remembers.
"She was born in November 1963
The day Aldous Huxley died
And her mama believed
That every man could be free
So her mama got high, high, high"

Sheryl Crow remembers

Interesting story about "the art of dirty politics" in the BBC last week. I wonder if it has any basis in fact? It paints a somewhat different picture of the Kennedy's.

...a tale of big money, smears, bribes, wire-pulling and bottomless cynicism. If you are asking what has gone so wrong with modern politics, Kennedy's 1960 election campaign is a good place to start.

I beleive most people to this day 99.999999% think that the JFK assassination was a conspiracy.

The bold thing is that they assassinated JFK in broad daylight and got away with it instead of doing it somewhere away from a public event.

So much for belief; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_assassination_conspiracy_theories

Polls show many Americans believe there was a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy.[3] These same polls also show that there is no agreement on who else may have been involved.
A 2003, Gallup poll reported that 75% of Americans do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.[4] That same year an ABC News poll found that 70% of respondents suspected that the assassination involved more than one person.[5] A 2004 Fox News poll found that 66% of Americans thought there had been a conspiracy while 74% thought there had been a cover-up.[6]

As far as the daylight aspect, since Oswald deciding to use his best skill, the rifle, it's simply better to see your target during daylight hours, especially in the 60's. Doing it on parade day makes the confusion created by the crowd a great screen, but apparently not good enough.

Kennedy led a conspiracy to keep The Kingsmen's "Louie Louie" out of the #1 position on Billboard. He worked secretly with J. Edgar Hoover to discredit these anarchist monarchists from taking over the country with their their brand of music which threatened the sweetness of Dale & Grace and the Singing Nun.

Therefore he had to be silenced for the good of rock and roll.
