Jelly Doughnuts in Toronto ?

I mean real Jelly Doughnuts.

The 'jelly' doughnut one gets at Tim Horton's are jam filled not real Jelly Doughnuts.
If anyone has ever had a real Jelly Doughnut then they know what I am talking about.
The jelly has a candy flavour, but no actual fruit flavour you can point to and say "they taste like that". I have heard the flavour described as 'Cotton Candy like' once and I kind of agree.

Anyway, does anyone know where they can be found ?
Scarborough preferably, but anywhere in the GTA will do.

The only place I know to get a really good jelly doughnut is at a grocery store called Starky's in Oakville, just off the 403 on Dundas. They also have a great meat and cheese counter too, if you're intersted.

You brought back some memories. Used to shovel snow as a kid to get extra money and always treated myself to a couple of jelly doughnuts afterwords.

I believe there's a Starsky on Dundas, west of 427.
If you hit some of the ethnic areas like Roncesvalles (Polish), there are bakeries that may satisfy your craving.
