I'm in it for the long haul, I have BlackRock and TD US equity funds. Not all my investments are in the stock market. I have savings/investments in other forms.

Anyone gonna buy anything in 2-3 days? I had the feeling Lutnik was gonna deliberately crash the markets, but I had doubts they were shameless enough to actually harm the entire USA just for more money they did not need.

I was going to sell all my socks yesterday before closing, because I knew this was going to happen. However, I didn’t realize that it would be to this extent.

I went 50% cash a few weeks ago but need to keep money in stocks as you do not wanna miss a uptick but yeah, today was a bloodbath but that should give pause to Trump tariffs but then again he is a meglomaniac

I would think they will stabilize at this point but I am staying out of this Trump created disaster

Never in history has a President intentionally destroyed his own economy

Trump went golfing today

I put 50% of my holdings into a conservative allocation yesterday, since I suspected a severe dip in the market was imminent. I have some in protected term investments as well, and I’ll just play loose with the rest. The biggest problem is the unpredictability of what happens next, which creates uncertainty.

My investment portfolio dropped about 2.5%, which is a relief as I was fearing much worse but it could get much worse in the coming days/weeks/months.

I am waiting until tomorrow when the auto tariffs on Canada and Mexico go into effect before making any investment decisions. If the auto tariffs get walked back then I think I will put money into Canadian equities, if the auto tariffs go ahead then I have no idea.

Happy Liberation Day to all!!!

I lost $40,000 so far. Most of it from NVDA, Google, ASML, Netflix, Microsoft.

Of the stocks that I keep an eye on, only Fortis has proven to be liberation proof. YTD it is up 11.4% and it pays a 3.72% dividend which beats the 3.5% you get from a GIC. I never really considered buying the stock since I think utilities are too pussy of a play but now I am considering going full femboi.
