He was great in everything he did on TV and movies
I agree plus a ladies heartthrob. I will miss him. They don't make them now like they used to. He spanned 6-7 decades in his career.

Here
I met him Lethbridge Alta years ago when he was shooting a western with Billy de Williams. He was a nice guy, very gracious, and down to earth. He will be missed

I role model of comportment for men.

Ironically for all his success posterity may remember him for what he passed over. He was Sergio Leone's first choice for The Man With No Name in his spaghetti westerns.

First time I heard of James Garner was The Rockford Files.
Then I found out about Maverick, etc, I was a fan. One of my favorite actors.

I think Richard Attenborough, might be the last one from the great escape.

I truly enjoyed the acting of James Garner. I still remember watching The Rockford Files with my father in the 70s. I will always have fond memories of those times.

Watched Cash McCall last night, great movie.

"Cash McCall is a young and slick business man who buys failing businesses and resells them. Grant Austen's Plastics is even more of a prize to Cash, for Cash is also making a bid for Austen's beautiful daughter, Lory. This is Cash's toughest deal ever."

My dad turned me on The Rockford Files when I was a kid in the 70's, it's become my all time favourite show as soon as they started releasing the series on DVD I would buy the set first day it came out. I still watch them just about every week. Rockford and Angel are the best two "buddy" characters in a TV series. I also loved a lot of his films, old Hollywood is quickly leaving us.

James Garner starred in Duel at Diablo with Sidney Poitier, Dennis Weaver, Bill T**********s. That was one of the Top Westerns.

It was filmed on location in Southern Utah. Memo to self - don't go to S.Utah.

Why would Bill T**********s be a dirty word? He's synonymous with my childhood, Born Free was the first film my parents took me to see after we moved to Canada.

Isaac Hayes also had a role in The Rockford Files - what did he call Jim?
