signing in Omsk. i'm almost certain it's going to be for rediculous money as A) the steel Oligarks have the money to pay him and B) he needs the money as he has built up gambling debt over the last 8 years. which has even carried over to when he played for the Caps and thus, why he didn't have the money to pay his taxes allthewhile being the nhl's highest player. apparently he wasn't betting on there every being a salary Cap. ironic isn't it? and to think a #68 would play in Russia??? weird. perhaps apocalyptic.

Reported to be $22 million over 2 years. 7 million per year tax free. Jagr is in the top 5 (he maybe #1) in alltime career NHL salary earned. And he still needs money? He must have a serious problem. When he was with the Pens & they played in Ottawa, he would go to the Barefax & drop $600-800 on takeout. #68 probably has some relatives turning over in their graves right now!

yeah, he's pretty good at dropping coin. i've known dancers that he used to see when he'd drop in town... it was nothing for him to drop 5g's on each of them.

i guess, though, in Czech Rep., his savings go a long way further than in North America because he owns a hockey puck manufacturer and a few hockey arenas...

no one can question whether he has a passion for hockey, though... if he never returns to the nhl, i will miss him.

...some people have a life that is utterly and completely different than my own....and sometimes I am glad I am not familiar with it.

This is one of those times. Sure...I'd like the money, but it sounds like it has brought him little but grief. Would not trade places....

That Tiger Woods guy on the other hand...umm...ya! In a heart beat...a half a heartbeat. Geezus, what must it be like to know your entire universe rocks??!!!
