IMHO Zombieland was the best film of 2009 and it really started something.
iZombie isn't getting the blow back that it's more celebrated rivals are getting but it's certainly worth watching. The show starts of with an almost light touch, with comedic effects. As it progresses it gets darker and more intense with evermore zombies cropping up. The plot twists are ingenious as they arrive at the source of the outbreak - a rebuke of corporate culture.
Great writing and story lines but it could have been for naught if the lead actor couldn't make the grade. Rose McIver certainly can. Perhaps the sexiest zombie ever to hit the tube, she's part girl-next-door, part Scarlett Johansson and a very good comic actress. When this show runs its course she will have a long career in films.
Now if you'll excuse me my dinner is ready: sweetbreads with fave beans, the bottle of Chianti is breathing as I type this.
