"That Place for Steak and Seafood" a hole in the wall at a strip mall at Bathurst and Sheppard. Rib steaks (almost no one else in town serves these -- its a kosher cut - slice of prime) Full meal. Dirt cheap. Great garlic bread and pickles.

Strangely -- Le Bifteque does a great job at $15 They spice their beef, unlike most places, and it tastes good! Big, thick, flame broiled. Hard to argue. If you prefer to order the Prime Rib - here's the secret - you can ask for a bone, they will serve them with your meal if they have any left.

If you really insist on spending useless dollars just for the name brand, go to Carmen's on Alexander Street where you can smell the garlic for miles around (skip Ruth Chris and Barbarian's - total hype and complete waste of money -- extremely overpriced and chincey -- did you want a mushroom for an extra $10, sir?)

Black Angus on Bloor Street West - I enjoyed the steak there much more than at Harbour 60, Tom Jones, Le Bifteque, or the Octagon, all of which I have been to recently.

I believe it is calld "The Place for Stake" and as someone who used to deliver suppies to resteraunts and eat for free at some of the best this by far the place to have a great STEAK enjoy!

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, lower floor of the Hilton on Richmond and Avenue. Perfect place to take your date before (or after) a rendezvous at one of the suites above.

Bonus: From the upper floors of the Hilton facing Queen, you get an amazing view of the Toronto Opera House as it is being built.

Excellent choice never been to the one in Toronto but the ones in Chicago and indy are great. Do the have a Gibsons in Toronto?
