If you have the majority of your portfolio in military companies, then that's good.

If you've went on a GIC buying spree for 5% fixed annual interest rates, while this war may cause inflation to skyrocket, then that's bad.

Even worse when you have cash in your mattress.

Inflation will go up again if the war escalates.

Oil prices might jump a bit high tomorrow, and for the near future...which means increased MP and SP prices again.

Is that base not just across the border in Syria?

I was briefly in this neighborhood last summer.

They need to strike Iran, damn pussies. Let the secular Iranians take power, instead of those pigs.

'Hit Iran now. Hit them hard,' Senators Lindsay Graham, Tim Scott respond to Jordan attack

SOUTH CAROLINA (WPDE) — Three U.S. service members were killed during an aerial drone attack in Jordan amid the Israel-Hamas war, President Joe Biden said Sunday.

The president said in a statement that the attack was unmanned and happened near the Syria border, and "many" others were wounded. He did not elaborate on the number of injuries.

Biden attributed the killings to Iran-backed militant groups in Syria and Iraq. The deaths mark the first U.S. fatalities in months of strikes against American forces.

Across the Palmetto State, government leaders are responding to the deadly attack overseas.

SENATOR LINDSAY GRAHAM

U.S. (South Carolina-R) Senator Lindsay Graham released a statement shortly after the announcement Sunday afternoon to extend his condolences to the families of the service members killed in the Jordan drone strike; and wished for a full recovery to those injured.

Our forces in Jordan and Syria are there to protect the American homeland and to provide stability in a troubled region. Their service and sacrifice will always be appreciated. They are true heroes.
However, Graham's statement largely focused on his, "lost confidence in the Biden national security team to deter Iran."

When the Biden Administration says ‘don’t’, the Iranians ‘do’. The Biden Administration’s rhetoric is falling on deaf ears in Iran. Their policy of deterrence against Iran has failed miserably. There have been over 100 attacks against U.S. forces in the region. Iran is undeterred.
Graham said he is calling on the Biden administration to, "strike targets of significance inside Iran." He said the action should be taken as a reprisal for the killing of U.S. troops, but to also deter against future aggression; adding they should, "Hit Iran now. Hit them hard."

He added he believes attacks on U.S. troops will continue, unless the Iranian regime is to, "pay the price with their infrastructure and their personnel."

Tacking on to his disdain for President Biden's handling of national security, Graham also shared his thoughts on General Secretary Lloyd Austin, saying, “Secretary Austin’s efforts to deter aggression against our forces in the region has failed miserably. If they do not change their policies now, more American service members in the region will pay the price."

Fortunately for the US and the world foreign policy is in the hands of Joe and not Graham.

It took Bush a month to respond after 9/11.
You gather Intel, figure who's responsible, then at a time and moment of your choosing you strike.
That's how smart people respond. Idiots start blindly bombing and creating more problems (btw not calling anyone here an idiot).
Right now you have an Iranian population that is pro USA. You want to be careful and not sacrifice that whilst hammering the revolutionary guard, who are evil, corrupt, and run the place and are funding and supporting terrorists.

I think we know by now who is running terrorism in the Middle East. Iran is behind almost every terrorist group and country. The opposition in Iran wants the US to hit the republican guard.

He is responding in a forceful yet measured way. Would you prefer a full blown war with Iran and its surrogates and allies in the region and worldwide?

Do I want a war of course no, but what's the US is doing with their measured way, has gone nowhere. Iran does what the want, they run Libano, Siria, supplies Hamas with rockets, supplies the Houtis with ballistic and assorted missiles, they bombed Saudi Arabia with drones.
Its the true Evil empire of the middle east. Unfortunately what they're doing hasn't helped or stopped them. Its not about Dems or Repubs but something has to change.

Response will come. Time will tell whether it is effective.

Closing the Strait of Hormuz in an election year. I doubt it.
Remember when Dubya occupied Iraq and Afghanistan and won a resounding second term in office, Danny?
