In the last minutes of the Jazz game -both Rose and Carter were on the bench (Carter with a sour look on his face - if I may add).

It's about time!

A coach who rewards excellence with minutes. The bench did a great job not just gaining but eventually taking the lead. Most Monday morning quaterbacks would have been screaming for the "best" players to be put in the last few minutes.

But not this coach.

He went with the players that brought him there. Rose and Carter both shot poorly - so Bosh, Alston and the rest picked it up.

That was a good game.

I hope that it finally sparks VC. He wanted to be just one of the boys ... he's finally getting it and if he finally feels differently, he should show it on the court.

That was a good game. Utah is a good team, and the Salt Palace is a tough place to play. Last night's game against the Sonics was good too, even though the Raps fell a little bit short.

I must say, the Raptors do look very competitive this year, and they are actually fun to watch. Bosh is well on his way to maturing into a elite big man, Woods makes solid contributions, and even Bonner, who looks like a stiff in the finest Joe Kleine/Will Perdue mode, is playing well. Even Moe Pete, who last year looked useless, is playing well.

What's the difference? Is it all Sam Mitchell? Was it the pickup of Rafer Alston? Was it moving Bosh back to his natural position of power forward? The difference between this year's team and last year's team is almost impossible to explain.
