Yeah it likely happen.
But what is this talk how NASA lost the original recordings of the first humans landing on the moon?
Here is what they say.....NASA admitted in 2006 that no one could find the original video recordings of the July 20, 1969, landing.
Since then, Richard Nafzger, an engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, who oversaw television processing at the ground-tracking sites during the Apollo 11 mission, has been looking for them.
The good news is he found where they went. The bad news is they were part of a batch of 200,000 tapes that were degaussed -- magnetically erased -- and re-used to save money.
"The goal was live TV," Nafzger told a news conference.
"We should have had a historian running around saying 'I don't care if you are ever going to use them -- we are going to keep them'," he said.
They found good copies in the archives of CBS news and some recordings called kinescopes found in film vaults at Johnson Space Center......

I can't believe that. Something seems fishy.
The proof will be if China gets back to the moon first and finds the leftovers...but then is China a very honest country...they block the web so their people are in the dark about what is happening in the world.

Lunar Reconnaisance orbiter successfully took pictures of all the landing sites. You can even see the trail left by the astronauts in one of the pictures.
Penn and Teller also dealt with this as part of the conspiracy theory episode of Bullshit! along with the JFK assassination and 9/11 "truthers"

I'm not taking any sides or saying it did or did not happen.....but recall the was a space race going on between Russia and the USA. Russia did beat the USA by being the first in to space which was a major embarrassment to the USA, so the motive to lie was there.

It be great if a anti USA country like say Iran went to the moon and found everything. Then it would leave no doubt in 99% of the people.

Well like I first said, it most likely did happen.....but what if, just if it was a flat out lie? Just think of the fall out the USA would have--not only with the rest of world but its own citizens.
