It appears that increasing number of SPs are showing more of their face without even trying to blur/ mask/ filter it. This seem to apply to most places you find the ads. In review forums, classifieds, etc. I typically expect some privacy to protect the SP from the stigma it carries if/ when they move on to other phases of their lives.

I have personally advised some (when I meet them) to consider taking off their face from the ads but they don’t seem to be bothered (at least, so I feel). Am I overly unnecessarily concerned about this? And should therefore keep my mouth shut? Or have things moved on to a more liberal approach than it was not long ago? I am only thinking that they should not jeopardize other future life potentials given the current general (wider society) attitude to SPs especially knowing that some are doing this only temporarily or matter of necessity to get by in the short term. What do you think?

SPs - Pls feel free to comment to give us a better understanding of this. Thanks.

Don’t care what the girl decides to show or not show. It’s her business, not yours. If they are hot I might go if I know she has a pretty face.

I have never sent a pic online or over text that is racy and has my face in it.

And I never will.

I have no issues with what I do, but I don’t need people bugging my future grandkids with pics of Nanna’s tits and ass everywhere. It subjects them to future ridicule.

I have no issues with what I do, but I don’t need my clients being outted when we go out for dinner and I don’t need male friends being considered clients when we are out to dinner. It is not fair to them.

I have no issues with what I do, but I don’t need someone threatening to out me to mainstream clients or worse to their customers and make my mainstream clients look unprofessional.

Showing or not showing my face is not about me and everything about the people around me that I care about.

Yes, sping is about discretion and trust (which again my issues of texting). I totally forgot about the issue of the client - in a way its the job of some sps to be secreative. Some sps are fammously in your face - porn stars actresss, the Duke girl etc. and clients go to these sps for that thrill - but the default used to be discretion.

I imagine as you suggest that an sp that shows pics in normal clothing (swim war at the beech, office ware and what not) could get away with full face photos on a public site as they coud be a case for photo theft - Plausible deniability .

As for pointing out the risks to younger/newer sps I think its the honorable thing to do. The more experienced ones know the score, However eve nif they listen your make no friends - your be the guy with bad news. I have had sp thank for advice must later but at the time, they usually are not pleased even if they pretend to be. but as long s your paying them to hear you talk . . .

You are overly concerned with other people's business, yes. Though, if it were me, I'd be more discreet. Both for safety reasons and reputation (yes, there's still a large stigma associated with being an escort).
I'm curious what their response was when you brought it up. If it were me, I'd be annoyed. As if you're saying I clearly haven't thought that decision through.

Agree 100%. I would never presume to tell an SP how to run their business.

Agreed...I’m apparently overly concerned....just out of care as some appear quite vulnerable....as young as 18...probably, can’t see that far.

I hadn't noticed but agree that it's her decision. I totally understand why a provider wouldn't want to post an identifiable face pic. I have to admit however, when deciding between two unkowns that I have often opted for the advertiser with the face shot to avoid a possible disappointment.

US Homeland Security has been cracking down hard on SW's from Canada for about 3 years now. Many of those now showing their faces have been nailed at the border and barred entry permanently, and as a result no long really have anything to lose anymore. It's pretty hard to keep your vocation secret once you've been barred from the US for suspicion of prostitution anyway. With the information sharing that goes on, it isn't long before virtually everyone knows. I could name at least ten that I know of for sure that came out publicly, including to family, not long after being stopped at the US border. US Homeland Security has ruined so many lives, it's not even funny anymore.

What? USHS is the enemy here? If you break the law knowingly you will face the consequences. Its the girls in this scenario that are being dishonest.

I’m sure every provider who shows their face has weighed all their options and made the decision for themselves. Telling them how to run their business on the other hand? Not very cool tbh. Just enjoy the faces lol

You are not their father. They probably think that you are over stepping by giving that kind of advice. If it hasn't happened already, you will eventually get a nasty reaction. If it was me, I would tell you to STFU and kick you out.

I'm not sure I follow. How would US Homeland Security know a Canadian woman was an escort if she did not disclose her face in her adverts? Almost all of the escorts use aliases.

You seem to be saying that escorts reveal their faces because they have been stopped at the U.S. border for being an escort and now everyone knows. Still don't follow.

Based on the woman responding, I might say this nonrandom sample tends to support the idea that if you are very pretty it makes good business sense to reveal your face.

From the client perspective, if I see a very pretty face on Twitter I expect the escort's fee to be higher. Generally, that seems true. I myself read reviews, follow reliable reviewers and get a general idea of the escort's appearance from candid photos on Twitter or her website. It's worked out very well. Overly produced, (face hidden) photos can be a waste of time for clients.

A good portion of those I see are very very private and don't wish to reveal their face.
Which in some way convinces me that if they value their privacy maybe they will value mine???
Of course nothing is certain.
