Due to the low coronavirus morbidity in Israel, almost all pandemic restrictions will be lifted on June 1, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced Sunday.


This includes the so-called "green pass" vaccination certificates, the official said, meaning that Israelis, will be able to enter all public amenities regardless of vaccination status.

Edelstein said the decision, which will lift all caps on gatherings, indoor and outdoor alike, was the result of rigorous consultations with health officials.

I read today that mostly everyone in Isreal is vaccinated.

Israel leads the world in % of population fully vaccinated.
They have implemented a successful "green pass" system basically a vaccine passport system.

Basically Israelis listened to their government.
Wore masks when pandemic started.
Getting their vaccination shots quickly when it's available.
Made the vaccine passport system work.
Now that majority have been vaccinated, things can start get back to normal.

I wouldn't say perfect but they pretty much did everything right with how they implemented things.
They made short term sacrifices which in turn allows them to get things back to normal quickly.
