Anyone know of a good place (website or store) to get an English translation of speeches by Cicero? I'm specifically looking for a translation of his Pro Milone (originally published around 52 BC!) in which he said "Inter arma enim silent leges" - in times of war the law falls silent.

I found quite a few sites with the original Latin text but I need it in English. Alternatively I'm quite willing to go out and buy a book if I need to.

Loeb Classics publishes just about the complete classical library, and does have an edition of Cicero with Pro Milone in it, with both the Latin text and English translation. The University of Toronto bookstore - or any decent academic book store - ought to have a copy. The Loeb Classic editions are pricy, however.

Alternatively, both Penguin and Oxford World Classics publish selections of Cicero's works (in English translation only), although I'm not sure if Pro Milone is included in any of them. Try Oxford's "Defense Speeches," it might be in there.

If you do stumble onto a web site that has translations of classical texts, let me know.
