Thought I'd try my luck and ask this question here. I drive an Audi A4, model year 2001. The CD player has unfortunately started to act up and I fear it needs to be replaced.
Does anyonw know if the Symphony II head (built-in CD changer, first installed in model year 2002) will fit into the space my Symphony I head currently occupies? i.e. Are Symphony I and II the same size and are they interchangeable? I suspect I could pop in the new Audi Nav unit but I'm not really interested in the Nav features - I just want the radio / CD stuff.
For those who don't know, Audi uses custom radio heads. I can't just go out and buy a standard unit like Alpine, Sony etc because they won't fit. I am only interested in finding out if the Audi Symphony I and II heads are interchangeable.
