Has anyone been through a 6 sigma implementation at their workplace? Did it significantly affect (positively) output quality? I'm trying to figure out if this is something I should implement in my department at work.
6 Sigma is a methodology through which an organization is supposed to deliver near-perfect products & / or services. It was popularized under the watch of Jack Welsh at GE. Theoretically the methodology will drive no more than 3.4 defects per one million opportunities. (I'm not sure why it's 3.4 as opposed to any other number.)johnnyhandsome said:What the frig is a 6 sigma implementation????
Or are you just trying to sound important???
Does it have anything to do with the ISO standard???xarir said:6 Sigma is a methodology through which an organization is supposed to deliver near-perfect products & / or services. .
Yes well, isn't that always true of everything in business? Success is most often defined through proper execution which in turn is only made possible by proper implementation of business strategy.Meesh said:Keywords 'implemented properly'
