Reported trade at this time is Vernon Wells to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in exchange for Mike Napoli & Juan Pierre.
There is nothing at this time in the G & M report that the Blue Jays are picking up any of V.W's salary.

Juan Pierre plays for the Chicago White Sox.
It's Wells for Mike Napoli and Juan Rivera if it becomes official. Funny how AA manages to keep everything secret till there's an announcement out of the Blue. When JP ran the joint there were leaks all over the place before deals were announced.
Wonder if Jose Molina gets traded if Arencibia plays well in spring training.

It's reported on Rotoworld that Jay's are NOT sending any money to the Angels in the deal!

Also, Manny Ramirez signed with Tampa Bay, so there is no worries of him becoming a Jay now.
AA must be a really great salesman if he can get Angels to take on all of Vernon's contract.

Mike Napoli hits really well against left handed pitchers ; so, he's a natural to take over the 1st base position on days when Jays play against a lefthanded pitcher since Lind can't hit against lefties if his life depended on it. Napoli played 70 games at first base last season.

Manny is way over the hill now. It doesn't even matter if he resurrects his career with them, Tampa Bay is decimated.
They lost Garza, Crawford, Soriano and Pena, they will be a non factor this season.
