Is this real?

WARNING. This is a pretty disturbing video so if you're the queasy type, don't view it.

I think this is real; it looks and sounds entirely authentic but if you freeze frame on the hand it looks fake. But why would anyone make a fake video of this?

sorry, that one isn't real...it is an ad for a clothing store....

I freezed on a frame that had the "severed" hand mid frame and there are a few things wrong with it:
a) there is no bone visible through the wound
b) the wound is too cleanly cut through the wrist. The only way that this would occur is if he stuck his hands up SO fast that the blade missed the hand and fingers entirely. Really, the blades are running so fast the fingers would be the first to go (kind of like a meat slicer).
c) There is an obvious lack of detail inside the wound. It is simply black, no cartilege, no tendons, no ragged muscle, just black..
d) We don't actually see the blades of the helicopter make contact with anything....and btw, the rotor blades have to be a good 15 feet above the ground. Buddy would have to be about 7 feet tall to be able to reach them.

All of the above plus the fact that the lighting on the hand does not match the lighting in the scene...not to mention the fact that if the hand as flying at the camera at the speed that it would have to be to only appear for a frame then there would be a considerable amount of motion blur on the hand...bad compositing job IMHO.
