No, it is not normal for you to be weeping like that. Did you suffer from a traumatic event? Maybe you are reacting to a loved one's death, or from the thought of them about to die (e.g. parent).

There must be a reason behnind your emotions, whether psychological or physical.

I got more emotional after my kids were born, but it seems to have worn off...

Generally, yes it is normal. If it is constant or inappropriate then check to see if it is perhaps hormonal.

From my experience and observations as we age we get in greater touch with our emotions, morality etc. . . . It is just plain North American - Anglo silliness that we deny our emotions e.g. “Big Boys don’t cry” most of the world knows that this is so much stuff and nonsense. Famous and valiant solders as well as cold blooded gangsters have both been know to cry. There are some real benifits to being able to show your emotions.

Exact same thing happened to me, as soon as I became a father (at the age of 29...)

I got all weepy eyed today at the Air Show watching the Spitfire fly past and thinking about Sir Reginald Mitchell who designed the Spitfire as he was dying of cancer and died once they got it into the air.

So no, you're ok, I'm ok.

Wow sounds serious lol, half a box!! I don't think I've ever done that except when I watched E.T. as a child and thought he died.
I shed a tear here and there from some movies but never enough to need kleenex. Have you grown moobs and lost the hair on your arms too?

Yeah, that much tissue, there's something else going on. That's a lot of tears for a 20 year old tv show.

I wouldn't get too worked up about it. You probably just have some emotional scarring/issues from something in your past and it makes you feel things more deeply. It could also be that you hide your emotions in public and need to release them in a safe environment. From what I've read, crying is very good for you...so don't stress over it.

My 2 cents...

I'm 35 and I wish I could cry. I feel awkward when I should be showing emotion but it just doesn't flow, and some horrible things just don't bother me... for other things, I think I bottle everything up inside and release it when I'm at the gym.

When I was a kid I used to really enjoy watching war films.... now I still like them from the historical aspect but find the loss of life saddening.
