I wouldn't call it racism though, Muslims come from a variety of backgrounds, people have fears of Muslims because of the violent history. Perhaps there's another word for it other than racism? Religionism?
Its certainly sad to hear that these things are happening and hopefully with more education about "Muslims" people won't fear the religion as much.
