I know a dentist that makes a fortune, but most of it is made from the 6 chairs he rents out to other dentist. I would like to know if a business can be made from owning a facility that offers space to medical professionals.

I think it depends. If you are offering just the space then you probably make no more than any other landlord of commercial space. Mind you that is still a nice chunk of change. Thus why people rent out commercial space. Or why people become landlords.
IF you are also providing the chairs and equipment you have to price it so that it is slightly cheaper then having them finance it for themselves.
