@ 4 -5 hour flight.

I was there once in Feb March for 6 weeks

I experienced 1 "rain"

It was a very localized mist.

Windy though- popular with windsurfers on the west side of the island.

No panhandling from locals.

If you get Island fever, the San Diego area always reminds me of the movie Pleasantville. It never rains, the weather is incredibly consistent...thou this time of year there's a bit of an early morning haze. Some can get tired of constant sunshine with daytime temps of 80 and nightime temps of 65, but I could take it all the time.

And there's lots to do if you decide you don't want to lounge non-stop.

Hmmmmm....that sounds nice. :)

I agree. Aruba is a beautiful island. 27 C everyday with no rainfall to speak of. While the resorts are nicely done, it should be noted that the island itself is really quite arrid. If you're up for it, you can rent a car and go on a sight seeing tour. The natural bridge by the ocean and the Haystack are points of interest.

If you want a free breakfast and some free t-shirts, go to a time share presentation. Other than that, the only real entertainment is in Orangestad, which has a couple of malls, restaurants and a casino.

breezes jibacoa, cuba! awesome resort! great scenery, great food, very clean! mix of young and old people. make sure you take the day trip to havana, see the old part, and the new part. take the hike up the mountain, and what a view of the resort, and the ocean you will be rewarded with!

two other nice places, in jamaica, are negril and ocho rios.

PS - i do have pics of my trip there if you wanna see.

I v got a story for you.
Once upon a time there was a magical place where it never rained. The End. (Movie "Holes") IriSSS~
Try the Atacama desert in northern Chile. It is the driest place on earth. LOL.

I was told that there are places there where it has never rained in recorded history. Most places only see rain once a decade. It's on the Pacific ocean and there are beaches and some small resort communities. The city of Iquique there has a really good duty free shopping district and an amazing golf course with no grass, just sand.

Bermuda is a nicer place to visit overall than Aruba with a shorter flight.

Not sure about rain there this time of year. I visited mid April

What's wrong with a little rain anyway.... It's not going to kill you.

I am probably going to book this trip tomorrow.
I don't like the late flight but it is a great deal (plus no single supplement) and the timing is good for my work and the weather.
