When it comes to McDonald's, there are literally only four items I buy from their menu of 100+ items. Even with that many items on their menu, they've taken away some of my favourites like the Buffalo Snack Wrap.

Their flashy new menu displays are also a problem. They're uniquely useful, but I don't want to stand there waiting for an advertisement for a product I don't want to play out in order to see the menu!

I hardly ever go there now, so maybe I'm not their target customer base any more.

I'm not their target base either. Might grab a breakfast item once a year but what they call burgers are not what I call burgers. Their stuff mostly looks like it should come out of a vending machine.

McDonald's will still be around for the foreseeable future. Although sales are slumping each quarter, it still did over 4 billion in Profit in 2014. What we will notice (if not already) is that some slower locations will close their doors for good.

MacDonald's can survive if they start serving food and not GMO filled plastic by product trying to pass as food.

They will still survive regardless.
Their food is super cheap, filling, and full of sugars (so it is highly addictive). The perfect formula (minus the addictive part) for lower income individuals.

I think there has been improvement from earlier years with quality and choice.

The one that should go under and was a victim of success is Wendy's. Wendy's was a success when Dave Thomas owned it because he made great hamburgers. Once the bean counters got their hands on the restaurant, it was ruined.

I wonder if that figure is for the head office only or if it includes the profits of the franchisees?

I'm sure McD's has a massive war chest of cash just in case. They have been spending a ton of money lately renovating their stores with the McCafe concept and new menu items, etc. Who knows really since they fired their CEO a few years ago.

Every McDonald's I go to in my area is always busy. 4 billion in profit.. Really sounds like there struggling

MacDonald's is a mystery to me. Like Tim Horton's. I have no idea why people go there.
