Is it better to spend 4 years in High School or a couple months to get your GED?

Wish I knew this was an option (maybe it wasn't when I went to high school which was FIVE long wasted years at the time). A go-getter is better off studying for the GED for a few months than wasting 4 years of life in regimented school setting. Go straight to learning a trade, or getting in university, or getting a job.

Those 4 or 5 long years were wasted only if you
didn't get a lot of free sex.

So you think a 14 year old can spend a few months studying for a GED and skip the rest of high school. Why? I don't think a 14/15 year old is mature and developed enough to go to university/college or learn a skilled trade and enter the workforce. The years spent in high school are development years academically, socially and physically. Those should not be taken away.
