Phil Ivey has a steel trap memory and is also a strategic and psychological genius...but is he a role model?

Fuck the whining casinos! I stay away from them, they get you every which way they can...Casino Niagara is the worst. Pay the man and STFU.

Next month I'll attend my first poker tournament since the car accident, I'm a rank amateur. If I lose the money I bring, I have a drink, watch a few hands and go home. No sense in asking for credit, that's degenerate territory.

I like Phil. Unfortunately he lost both those court cases from your post #1. Still owes Bogata 10 million last I heard.
True, they went after his NJ assets found he had none and had to file again in NV recently. Casinos are sore losers.

Here
As a person who made a living as a gambler for years, Yes, to me he is a role model. most casinos love it when you win but only at the games which are real money makers like slots, roulette, etc. Poker is a low volume game that doesnt make alot of money unless they hold tournaments that bring in big stars and revenue threw promotion. given the amount of revenue that gambling brings into any state its just plane bad business to rule in his favor.

They agreed to his terms and he played and won. Leave him alone.
