In FACT Darth Cheney IS a bigger War Criminal than that Saddam fella DICK used to pal around with!....:eyebrows:
Dick saw himself as "above the law" and smarter than all the others in the administration, including the President. He advocated and supported Human Torture and wanted war with Iraq , which killed 1000's of innocent civilians. He lied to get the war; his hands have blood on them. He should be charged and so should others who collaberated.

Actually Carling...I look at many different sources and opinions. Adds to the richness of my life and the strengths of my arguments. I have a kind-hearted skepticism that comes from a love of reason and respect for many points of view. I'm far too skeptical to be brainwashed although I believe all humans are enculturated and influenced through our senses. In fact, a more appropriate criticism would be my lack of certainty. I try to avoid the Dunning Kruger effect....something most on this site have succumbed to. Has it EVER occurred to you that you may be at least partially wrong? How can you be so certain when reality tells us humans are wrong far more frequently than they believe??? In fact, when I read your stuff it's seems based on pure emotion with little rationality.

I read lot's of stuff from the left and quite enjoy it. I think there's a huge difference between intelligent discourse that I read on the left of center and the worthless rubbish (not always but mostly) that's on terb. In fact, one might argue that it's not leftist thought at all here but fashionable political correctness. It's "cool" to believe this mindless drivel. It's really more about being one of the cool kids. Many of my opinions might be construed as being quite left of center (I find left/right pigeon-holing quite tedious but what the hell). In fact, most of my "left-wing" friends think it's funny that I'm called a conservative given many of my opinions. What I do find offensive is the way people who have moderate or conservative opinions are personally insulted here. I try not to insult people personally unless they've attacked me or someone here personally or advocate mass murder. I would also suggest that everyone who disagrees with you or me isn't stupid or brainwashed. Many brilliant people disagree with me...sometimes they turn out to be right. However, what they don't do is launch personal attacks without ANY attemp at a coherrent and rational argument. That's what I find so disgusting about some on this board. It's not political...it's a character thing. I don't like bullies and thugs...even if I agree with them.

Calling people names doesn't defeat their arguments, if merely shows you capitulated in the discussion or aren't bright enough to come up with a counter-argument. Have I done that a fews times? Sure, I'll admit it and shame on me. But I'm man enough to admit it. That's self-awareness, emotional maturity, and character. These traits can be learned and goodness knows I have miles to go but I try. With the exception of blackrock13 and a couple of others I never here anyone here admiting the guys on the other side may have a point....it's just insult, insult, insult...frankly it's sickening.
