My tongue lives in a pussy
Do you think money brings happiness?

From my lifetime experience I can say it does in some ways, for me personally at least. I grew up in a fairly wealthy family and I'll admit that a lot of things that money can buy does NOT make me happy, such as living in a big house, or having a nice car. Sure it's nice to have, but it definately does not bring happiness.

The aspect of wealth that brings happiness for me is the ability to travel all over the world. Travelling is my favourite hobby, and I'm lucky enough to have travelled all over the world to so many different countries, mainly via cruise ships. The world is such an amazing and beautiful place, there are so many sites to see, and so many interesting cultures and ways of life across the globe. If I were not able to travel I don't think I'd live a happy and fulfilling life, I guess I just love exploring, and I love adventure, it's part of my way of life. :)

Money does not buy happiness per se, however it makes life a lot easier. Money cannot act as a subsititute for the key elements of happiness (health, family, friends, rewarding career, etc.).

I agree with all these except health, if you're rich you can afford vitamins, supplements..etc
and also healthy food.
This can greatly reduce your chances of getting cancer and other diseases.

The happiest thing in the world is to do what you love to do. If money supports that, then money is important. Many people are not happy about themselves since they only know how to make money, working their ass off and don't know how to enjoy the hard earn money . When they die, they could die with millions of dollors and billions of regrets of: oh, I think I should of done this and that and that, blah, blah, blah....

Revolution if you didnt have that extra money ....you wouldnt be able to travel all around the world to make you happy

I agree money doesnt make you happy that comes from within but since this society is based on materials its kind of hard to share that same view with most like the saying goes "cant buy me love "

Money can't buy happiness.....it does however buy a better level of misery.

Most people have one basic problem -they can't distinguish between "want" and "need". Once you figure that out, you'll realize what makes you happy.

Money allows you to be spontaneous. I love being spontaneous. Other than that money is still wonderful!

I have heard it said somewhere-money can not buy you happiness, but it can get you a pretty good place next door.

I do not think money will buy happiness, but it can get you some experiences that are pleasing. This can, IMO, actually keep a person from deep happiness. Often it is not until a person is truly unhappy, through a situation such as not having money, that they really start to take a look at what would make them happy. A person with plenty of cash can (but does not always) buy many more distractions than a person with no money. For me the truly happy person will be that way regardless of their material situation.

I'm in England and don't see either of them here.

While it is true that "money can't buy happiness" it can rent it by the hour

Good responses so far but IMHO money CAN buy you hapiness...and not just the superficial kind.

Why do I say this? well....
1) It will allow you to do more of the things you enjoy, thereby making you happier because you're doing things you enjoy doing. (instead of slaving 20 hrs a day just to make ends meet).
2) Since you will be happier, you will probably be more attractive to the opposite sex. Have you ever seen a lady hit on a guy who is beat to death and worn out from slaving on a production line all day?
3) Many will disagree on this but money will allow you to buy better clothes, better car, and make you more noticable to the opposite sex. I'm not saying they necessarily will be gold diggers, just notice you more. (plus if you pull out a wad of c notes and peel one off for a tip well then lol)
4) Health: as stated, you will be able to afford vitamins, better food, leaner cuts of meat, fresher veggies, etc. Plus you probably won't have to go shopping for your own food or cook it. Some enjoy cooking but I DON'T
5) You'll probably be mortgage free or have a preferred interest rate (depends on the amount of your wealth) so that stress is out of your life.
6) You'd probably live in a safer neighbourhood so the health risks of getting mugged etc are greatly reduced.

From a purely material pov, you could find yourself an sp that you click with then book her for a year +. That is if you're single and don't want to worry about a gold digger.

Now money can't solve ALL your problems but it sure does help!

i think it really depends on the person in how money makes them happy.....also the definition of happiness varies from person to person. But money does make life easier. It gives you choices.

No...it is not...

...but as others have said, it makes life a LOT easier.

Not that I would know, I am not rich (at least by G8 standards).

Poverty (based on the culture you live in) tends to bring misery. Wealth has its own problems, but almost all of them are a product of the choices made and can be managed.

I will say this though - and I am not the first person to make this observation - without having ever been 'wealthy" I can say that making more money has NOT made me happier. Other things have, but they are not associated with wealth.

My wife still maintains the best times for the two of us were when we were both out of work and she was expecting, and while we never missed a meal or were homeless, we had to be careful with money. Very careful. I guess she just feels our life and our affection for each other was more simple and uncluttered, and somehow more genuine.

Money can buy a house, but not a home,
It can buy a bed, but not sleep,
It can buy a clock, but not time,
It can buy you a book, but not knowledge,
It can buy you a position, but not respect,
It can buy you medicine, but not health,
It can buy you blood, but not life,
It can buy you sex, but not love,

Kisses and Hugs from Janda:)
