Is anyone using Skpe In?

Skype can be okay at times but problems other times. Skype In is not available in Canada with Canadian numbers yet the last time I looked. Skype to Skype calls are okay.
I have vonage and its good, but there is adelay .8sec, you can notice it if you have anything lower than high speed. But over all its great, I use it as a work number that forwards the call to my cell and home line with out giving people my cell or home numbers.......neat freature...
I use Skype Out all the time, but I've never signed up for Skype In. In general I quite like Skype Out but it doesn't work 100% of the time (more like 90 - 95%).

When you switch to a IPS phone system, you run the risk of not having 911 working. You wouldn't want to be searching for a phone number in a emergency! Don't forget to ask about 911 before you make the switch!

Skype takes over??

Not a good idea.
Better to choose a more standards-based solution, even if it hasn't gotten the same hype as has Skype.
Skype isn't as invasive as spyware, but it can try to offload some call handling for other folks onto your computer.

Actually, that's not true. You can dial 911 but it's not routed directly to the emergency center. I think that the call is handled by Vonage themselves and they send the emergency crew to an address that you specify or have on record.Mack Bolan said:F.Y.I
