Apple and Google need to work on locking this down across the board... if you don't know to refuse these requests you can expose a lot of data (ala Facebook).... right now they are playing whack a mole with each issue (last one was contacts) - they need a holistic approach to allow users to manage privacy (or not based on a users wishes).

It's one of the reasons I'm VERY seriously considering going back to my Curve.
Just a simple, basic phone, fuck the apps, I won't use it for the camera, that's what a camera is for - for candids, fine.
Getting sick of these big companies that have all this money, pay developers and they can't get security right.
Fuck them.

You could dig a hole in your back yard and stock it with water too... but that might be an over reaction.

Consume wisely....

That said, I hold Apple responsible for poor behavior by it's apps providers....

I too am pretty pissed at these companies invading our privacy with a Privacy Policy deliberately crafted to bury the real intentions of the use of private information and especially photos.
Totally agree.

I think it's going to require regulation.

This ad hoc policy that developers and companies are doing is not going to cut it. They were given a chance and they've failed horribly.
