I'm not sure what you mean by "internet tv."

I'm going to assume that you mean tv stations broadcast over the internet.

In this case, you don't need anything, besides your PC and your browser. Maybe some cables to connect your PC to your TV, if you want.

However, the problem is there's not too much content out there for this, at least for free.

You can try this site: http://wwitv.com/

You can watch television channels from all over the world, but usually, it's boring stuff like C-SPAN for the States, and CPAC for Canada. Yay, watch Parliament in action *yawn*. Great for insomnia.

Lots of tv online but assuming that "lite hi-speed" means your on Rogers you need to watch your DL limits, going over it can be expensive and streaming or DLing tv is a quick way to go over. I haven't been on Rogers in years so the actual issues regarding what is involved in the "lite" package is best answered by someone else, I will however give you some information in regards to online tv if I'm at all wrong as to my assumption your speaking about the Rogers package. :)

I haven't had cable in years and have no issues watching tv on the computer, I have no DL limits so some tv I stream and some I DL (make sure you have a good size drive).
If you are just looking for a few shows every now and then you can hit the mainstream stations like Global - http://www.globaltv.com/entertainment/videos/index.html
Looking for some of the more unusual stuff, or when I want to get some sports from across the globe (like when I want K-1 fights) I check Justin TV

When I want to search some more common shows, maybe marathon a series over a long rainy (or snowy weekend) I check this site - note if you link to Megavideo you will have time limits on how long you can watch for free so you either need to change your IP to log in or pay to subscribe.

I hope that helps a bit.
