Gents:
Not to complain about the whiners, but having had the experience of trying to actually get one going way back...where were all of you high rollers then?
I left the biz because 95% of the guys wanted either explicit talk....free rooms(incalls only)....or wanted to nickel and dime me to death.
First of all explicit talk is illegal...end of that.
Secondly, the risk is MUCH higher for incalls....it's called keeping a bawdy house guys....
Thirdly, you cannot expect MSOG with Playboy models who do everything for 130-140 for one hour. Call Kathleen or Samantha
and you'll see what a premium lady is charging..approx 200.
At the risk of being a masochist, I'd try it again...if I thought the clients were not all going to be the wienies I encountered.
I tried to get clean, attractive girls and actually had two nice Orientals. Getting high quality staff is problematic in the Hammer too. I'd be intersted in seeing what responses I see on this. Would take me 3 weeks to look into perhaps.

Well I had posted a while back about opening an agency an no one had any helpful information on how to do it, (we all know what everyone wants).

As far as having a premium service, I think it'd be hard to convice anyone the girls are worth more then the going rate. I've tried a few agencies before that were much more $$$ and both of the girls told me they also worked at other agencies that were much cheaper... they weren't special in any way either.

I appreciate your honesty....but I would still run in the 140 range...not a price pointer at 120.
I have a pretty good idea of what I'd expect and did not ask the girls for the world...was lucky to get two real gems out of 5-6.
I'd run it from lunch to 12 midnight, and avoid the drunks and weirdos that come out after.
My expectation is about serving the customer...so i get calls even years later to see if I'm open.

Toronto Life

There was a very good story in Toronto Life, about two issues back, about two guys who opened an agency in Toronto when they became unemployed. They ran it for about a year and then quietly closed it. They made a bit of money buit it wasn't enough for the hassles involved.

Getting the message out

You say that you tried to get a service rolling "way back". How long ago was this? And how did you get the message out? Review boards like TERB are obviously excellent means of marketing a solid business as threads in Toronto on various SPs and MPAs will prove. A few good reviews and they will come.

Marketing a service is probably where most people fail in this business. And I don't just mean advertising.

You have to treat the girls right first of all. The industry is too transient as it is ... you need to develop regulars by developing faithful and dependable talent.

When it comes down to it, money is not the issue. You brought up Samantha's name. I wouldn't pay her a dime at this point. I've left her several messages in the past couple of months and she's NOT ONCE returned my call. To me, that kind of crappy attention to customer service means that the service itself is likely to be crappy. I could be wrong, but I will probably never find out.

Samantha's not very effectively marketing herself (ie. here's a "high roller" with $200 bucks burning a hole in his pocket and nowhere to spend it.) If she was, why wouldn't I want to see her - especially if she's as attractive as I understand her to be?I've said it before and I'll say it again: We'll spend the money - but it just has to be money well spent!

careful guys -please be clear which Samantha you are talking about! I believe Ted was referring to Badkat and myself as we both live in the general hamilton area.

You could not be referring to me - re the phone messages asd i do do phone- only ever book through email. And as far as enough guys not thinking girls are worth over 200/hr- then why am I booked til June 11?

Lowtech is right SamJones. Samantha in VIEW has been mentioned on these boards as a more upscale SP in the past. I'm not sure how she got that reputation if it's so difficult to set up an appointment with her.

Your reviews on the other hand have always been glowing. So much so that I'm trying to figure out how come I've never set up an appointment myself. I'm not even sure if I knew you were in the Hamilton area. At any rate, sorry for the confusion. There should, however, be no confusion between Samantha in VIEW and the one and only Samantha Jones.

Samantha in the View

Samantha used to be the old Jennifer in the Spec before the ads ended there. I have been seeing her since 1986. She has aged extremely well. Still looks 25! She is very very attractive and tall and slim. She does have a high number of repeat regulars which she prefers and books up well in advance. That could explain part of your trouble contacting her.
