Installing XP on Notebook Question

I have a new notebook with Windows Vista on it.
Just wondering if it's possible to install a second hard drive that uses Windows XP with this computer.

The problem with notebooks is that they don't give you a system disk with drivers for your motherboard, video, audio, LAN etc. All I have is a system restore disk for a new Toshiba notebook.

So, if I bought a new hard drive for this computer on ebay is there any way to install Windows xp on it?
Thanks for any input.

Notesbooks only have 1 internal disk. I assume you want to keep the v=Vista around for some reason but not sure why..

Anyays, you can buy the 2nd hard disk and swap the hard disks and install XP on it. You can get XP off of torrent downloads. I have done this successfully w/key.

www.utorrent.com --> download client software --> install on existing system --> goto btjunkie site for XP pro download with key --> create CD from ISO image on download --> deinstall existing hard disk/install other hard disk and install XP pro from CD.---> boot up --> download porn --> get horney --> goto terb --> find some gurls --> book a date --> get rocks off--> be happy

I've bought XP with new built desktop systems in last few years; so, I've already got two copies of XP with keys to install operating system with; so, I don't need to download XP from torrent sites.

My concern is not having a disk for the Toshiba notebook with drivers for video, Lan set up, audio, motherboard etc.

I don't understand how the system will know who it is and what it is supposed to do if I don't have a disk with software to set up motherboard, video, LAN, audio etc.

And, yes I know the notebook only has one internal drive; so, what I plan is just to quickly swap them out depending on whether I want to use XP or Vista as the O/S for the computer.

Before I'd attempt installing XP on the Toshiba notebook, go to their website and make sure XP drivers for your particular notebook model are available.
You'll need audio, lan, video and possibly motherboard drivers for XP. Download them and burn them to a CD.
I'm sure you'd have no trouble installing XP on it, but if you don't have a second system to download the drivers to, you'd be dead in the water if XP didn't recognize the ethernet (lan) controller and have compatible drivers.
If Toshiba doesn't have XP drivers for your model, I'd forget the whole thing.

If those copies are already installed on your computers you can't use them again.
Once you install XP, you have 30 days to 'activate' it, or it quits loading. If those keys have already been used, the online activation process will cludge and you have no XP.
Your options are to buy another copy of XP, or use an activation hack.
(And I never said I strongly recommend the activation hack)
