In the states we have HR Block - they have the niche on taxpayers that need rapid refund service. I would not trust them if you are a higher income earner - if you are pay the extra money and go with a CPA or Chartered Accountant as they say in Canada. Not sure if HR Block is in Canada.

H&R block is in Canada as well as a slew of other low cost tax preparation services.

Does it need to be a CA? If not I would just head in to an H&R block with all the tax stuff (T4 and the like) and pay the $25 fee for someone to do it fast.

My great uncle had his done there last year just a few slips - retirement and interest income and about 20 donation receipts - total bill $87.75.

H&R Blockheads are not as cheap as most people think. they also make a ton of mistakes. I have made alot of money in the past fixing thier f-ups. nonetheless they are a money making machine and despite my dislike for them I have done well owning thier shares. If it is an easy return--basic slips etc you could probably do fine with any basic tax prep service. If it is complicated I would go to a pro e.g. a CA. If you want a recommendation PM me.
