This classic 80's song famous for vacations and cruises is about cheating. The guy was getting bored of his lady, so he responded to an ad in the paper to hook up with another lady, they finally meet, and it turns out it was his wife who placed the ad in the paper. The song is realy genius.

The song has been mocked since it's released, but I love it. A cute story told with a great melody behind it. Right up there with Afternoon Delight by the Starland Vocal Band.

Funny note: back in 1989 my ATF group RUSH hired producer Rupert Hine to work on their new studio recordng. I thought "are they nuts, the Pina Colada guy". Obviously wrong guy. I wonder how many times 'ol Rupert Hine had people come up to him singing Escape.
