if I may interupt the Drama known as GTAC and Tbill

I have recieved several unwanted emails and pm's from people that I don't know, respect, or even give a flying fark about, but it comes with territory. If you post anything about anything long enough you will run afoul of a jerk or the jerks minions.

Some simple rules to remember..

Email and PM's are for ever.. they reside somewhere and can come back to haunt you. Take this in the larger context and so does membership in any board forum has it risks. If you don't want it to be thrown back at you sometime down the line, don't pitch it in the first place.

If and I use the term if very strongly, you are being harassed or believe that you are, by a person whom you feel is either out to harm you or your reputation, keep of copy of all PM's emails, etc, send the jerk a "kiss off letter" either by electronic mail or by snail mail. Contact your ISP and email provider and have them trap the offending emails for security reasons. If it is a private board, stop using that board.

One very interesting note to make here, is that most of you ( I can't remember if I did or not) gave most board administrators the right to email you at your personal email address, you checked the box upon registration allowing this..

Think of it as giving a vampire free rein to come to your house anytime he or she wants to...

True and false. Board software like Vbulletin requies a valid email address to process registration and to send server generated messages eg: if you want to change anything in your profile.
For security reasons I think this is a good thing. Only a board administrator of dubious character would abuse your email.

Thank you for your clarifaction here.. I realize that your board is not about to abuse the trust of its members, and I do appreciate that distinction.

But I will stand by my comment that everything you post in cyberspace.. is traceable and should you not be ready to defend that action then you are in thr wrong forum.

As to the use of our personal email.. I never thought for one moment that your board or others of its ilk would use these against the masses.. but the ability to pull a list of the email addresses of every member who ever registered is available. Most of the vbullentin database is ODBC compliant and is easily searched using crystal reports..

If it doesn make Tbill look like a hero, he deletes it. He is carefully carving an image of himself as the next Hugh Hefner and Donald Trump morphed together. However, rather than building this image through action, he's taken the shortcut of only keeping posts from his admiring fans (i.e. Alien and Asian Sensation).

He does not express himself well in writing, and he is extremely threatened by anyone who can formulate a coherent and convincing argument that is contrary to his publicly stated mission or policies (which he makes up daily to fit his needs). He manages through fear because he does not have the ability to lead by example. Simple.
