Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I just upgraded to v.7 of Internet Explorer and damned if I'm having nothing but trouble. For one, where is my favourites folder with all my saved websites. Second, how do I revert back to v.6????
Thanks IT wizards,
KD

I inadvertly upgraded to IE7, but I never lost anything. Didn't like it at first, but its ok now. If you have windows xp, if you show click updates in control panel you should be able to go back. I am sure there are people that can confirm. Anyway, from what I understand you should not have lost anything.

I hate 7.0 as well, nothing but problems since I upgraded. I have Windows XP Media Center Edition on a Dell Dimension 8400. Since I had the hard drive replaced I am back on IE 6, older is better sometimes.

As far as I know you can't go back. IE 7 will be manditory for future Windows Updates.
Removing IE7 from the system puts IE6 back in place.

But I still CANNOT ACCESS MY INTERNAL COMPANY PORTAL!! DAMN MSFT!

You can if you just go to add/remove programs. I brought my concerns to the IT guy at work he showed me how to get the favourites folder, you have to hold down the alt button on the toolbar. IE 7.0 does have some better features, it just takes time to get used to it.

Apple just reduced the iMac to $999.00. Come on over to the light side.

To add to this, sometimes you might have to check the box at the top that says "show updates".

Look for the little star...bottom left of the last line of your top tool bar. It should be all there. FYI the refresh button is hidden in the center of the top line...both the star and refresh are tiny...as if they are irrelevant.
I think you are fucked with regards to getting back to IE 6. I tried and never could do it....now I live with 7.

I can't beleive anyone would use crap software like that. Smarten up fer chrisakes and get Firefox already. Most of the computer service calls I get are for machines completely riddled with viruses and spyware, those things come through IE people. How ridiculous is it to wear a condom with a service provider and then use Microcock shitware on your computer? jeeeesh ...

The auto update feature will keep trying to install IE7, by slecting one of the options for updates you can still see them yet choose.

I got fed up with IE7 a couple of times. It was my fault I inadvertently selcted download all and had to do a system restore to get IE6 back. Finally god fed up and switched to Firefox. Since then I've switched to Mac. I like safari but since I'm new to the OS I'm tyring things out. Firefox for Mac will be next.
