how many of the people that support roe/wade being overturned (the conservative right) had a problem with vaccines? I wonder how many of them were anti vaxxers and shouted out that they have rights, it's their bodies and their choice? Are they just those people that say 'do as I say', or else? Where is actual justice in all of this?

From what I saw and read, including from the freedumb convoy in Ottawa, all, or the majority, are right wing (maybe even extreme right wing nuts), that said it is their bodies and their rights so they don't want the vaccine and also don't want their freedoms touched so they can go wherever they want no matter what the rules are! Are they not willing to stand up for someone else's rights?

What happened to 'my body, my choice' for women? The hypocrisy exhibited by these conservatives is absolutely mind boggling. Are they not smart enough to even see the comparison? Or do they just not care ie. do as I say, or else?

I have been around for the last 50 years and watched with hope that the western world might finally give equal rights to women, people of colour, the gay community etc. I am thankful that I won't be around for the next 50 years to watch this all possibly unravel!

The latter.
“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition …There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”

Now that really is frightening! I never saw that quote before. Who is Wilhoit and what is his claim to fame? (sorry, don't want to Google it and have Google to even think for a moment I am one of them :sneaky:)

I am a huge fan of abortion, living in Cornhole has only increased it however...
It's not theocracy at least not in the way you suggest. They see abortion as murder. There is a difference between taking behaviors that put others at risk and straight up killing someone.

OTOH it is hypocrisy in that they generally have no problem with killing someone if they try to get up in them guts with the rape and tend to be in favor of guns and such to do it, but have a problem with the use of abortion to stop a fetus from getting up in someone's guts against their will.
The pro choice people don't really help their cause by framing it as a my body my choice/woman's right to do as they please with their body instead of the more basic and universal basic right to defend yourself... but many don't seem too keen on this [the call on people to do anything any everything to avoid killing some scumbag who for example breaks into your house.

While I am on a rant I saw someone on TV claiming it was all about patriarchy and controlling women. I am not a fan of the Jebus Cultist but how fucking far up your ideological ass do you have to be to see it like that.

Frank Wilhoit is a composer in Ohio.
He wrote it in a blog comment in 2018.
But because he has the same name as Francis "Frank" Wilhoit the political scientist who died in 2010, people thought it might have been from him and it went kinda viral.
Lots of other people have pointed the in-group vs out-group aspects before, but it is a really pithy way to lay it out so I like using it.

Who said "If it weren't for the double standard, Republicans wouldn't have any standards at all" Also gets to the point...
