I think we need a new forum rule for posting links and posting as it is becoming difficult to read

Just a thought and a suggestion.
Especially based on experiences in the politics section.
There are some members who have the habit of absolutely and massively spamming threads with Twitter and other links.
The occasional twitter link, or YouTube video in support of a position is appreciated.
I am talking, one after another, to the point that the page takes a long time to load, and readability is difficult.
I am also unsure how many actually do read these tweets and watch these videos as they are not even from authentic sources.
So my suggestion is to to do the following or a variation of the following, as I have seen these types of rules in many other forums:
- Ban post spamming a thread with twitter links.
- Or more generally disallow multi-posting and encourage multi-quoting.

So much agree. The massive Twitter (X) posts are annoying AF.

And would add that it's also so annoying to have someone adding a lol smiley to every single post. Complete waste of computer resource...

I disagree with both of you. We have enough rules that are regularly enforced by the mods. Let's not suggest more.
Its not more rules.
Its just to make threads more readable.
I guess I could put these few people on ignore but I usually do not put anyone on ignore.
