Not wild about the guy.

Appreciated his music, though.

He was a gifted entertainer and hugely successful, but I think his musical legacy has been overrated.

MJ was a major influence in pop music. He left a huge music legacy. Too bad his private life was such a mess.

I know there has been a lot of controversy regarding him and I don't want to get into that. His talent though is legendary in my opinion, his voice, his dancing and his sheer gift for making music an experience,,,,,plus his videos are awesome lol.

MJ is by far the best performer that graced a stage. Ever.

His music maybe looked down as 'good ol pop music' but his albums are amazing music. Forget the videos and the dance, listen to the music. Its timeless pop.

You know, OJ was probably one of the greatest running backs in NFL history but no one is lining up to watch "The Best of OJ" videos. And no one today remembers him for his on the field exploits.

Perhaps society can finally do the right thing and treat that pedophile MJ in the same manner. You are free to remember him as a singer. I will remember him as a child rapist. And nothing more than that.

Without doubt that MJ was a great performer, thats for sure. This upcoming concert will be worth the money and effort to go see. However, I think it a little biased to think he was 'by far the best performer'. There was a thread a while ago asking which were the best concerts, and there were pages of different artist mentioned. Its all in perspective. OK GotGusto, you can now start plugging MJ again.

I think best stage performer ever is a bit of a stretch, he was very good, music and dancing was ageless, he looked funny after they finished planning him down, but all in all he was above average

His dancing was very good but there were others who were far better. Gregory Hines, Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly come to mind just off the top of my head. Overall Jackson's performances come across as more than a bit self indulgent. True of his whole adult life as it turned out.

about the same time that OJ was.

Like the great Orenthal, one needn't be convicted in a criminal trial to have actually performed the act.
