i always did like you lol....its a rant people.......i know the leafs all by person and some are great guys...but you know what when you make 6 mill you cant play like that...you can play like berg if your making less then a mill.....now i took my girlfriend in leafs dressing room today before game...(thanks to poni my cuz friend) a great guy and we sat in platinum which i hate but fre tixs are good lol....and it all hit me today...i looked around the room....not every player was in it but there were enough and there names on the stall to remind me of all of them....i said you know what this team here has nothing to it (exclude mats who iam hard on but i fell really sorry for)...we have nothing ,not an identifty not a presence to us ....NOTHING...from the lame duck coach to steen to pony to stajan to gill to white to pohl were a bunch of nothing.....i recall going in the dressing room or meeting the guys of quinn era like danny m, mo, yuskie corson (at the time), the real tucker...i know we never won a cup but we had identity we had the blue grit never count them out and we were hard to play against ask anyone team that played us in a series, no matter how many injuries. i looked i saw markov said what a crazy fuk he loves being here the guy will do everything to win, then you look to markovs stall there was yuskie...and i remember saying theres a real player if there ever ewas one..it was the time he had a blood clot and wanted to sign a waiver saying if he died on the ice the leafs wouldnt be responsible to win teh cup, tahst a warrior tahst a guy you can love......these are players you can hang your hat on...then mr quinn....when he walked in a room you knew it...he didnt do jokes after blowing 3 goals in nj...you can tell by his face and it said enough he didnt have to be cute for media and you know they wouldnt come flat out the next night...the players cared..you saw it all time in games they even lost (nyi series taht game 6 blowout in nyi that night i knew we be ok for game 7 by the way we finished)...i know some dumb asses are gonna say did quinn bring us the cup??? the answer is NO...did he bring us charcter and identity and something to be proud of.....your damn rigth he did and for almost a decade...no iam not coloumbo and even though therre are 10 million dumb leaf fans..thereare 10 million more hockey smart ones...we saw what was going on a long time ago...how the power struggle between quiin and upper mgmt....and it really sickens me as a die hard leaf fan..and iam as hard as they come.....to see a man pushed out like that...i still havent fully recovered form that hurt..bc it was sad to see quinn go and it was more sad to see how he looked the next days and how he was relly treated.....to me its simple....make me a team that cares whats on the front of their jersey....make me a team that has fight and i wil be happy...even i with the most false hope in the world saw today how far off we fallen..maybe it was a trip to the room...but i never felt this empty and fustrated in the direction were going...and the fools that will say conditioning paul does or hard practices or young players were building around...WHO..who are players we have that will lead us?? WHO?..we have average filler in guys...people who dont agree with this can smoke the rest of their joint because its stupid and dumb..we DONT have players to rebuild..EVERYONE has 44 mill...you DONT HAVE to rebuild with nothing...YOU SPEND CAP $$ wisely and can make a good team......paying 6 mill to fagcabe is not SPENDING wisely...spending another 2 mill on a mix between cross and chris mccalister (gill) is not wise........i know i made alot of errors but iam not happy as i wrote this...but what we are is a middle of the pack team with terrible mgmt, with an average coach (if he was so great why didnt any one else bite) he went to ahl, car didnt miss him they have a cup...quinn took the team in first year to final 4 with garbage..........we have no hope no identity no relief for the future and it SUCKS to have nothing to look forward to......and now jfj screwed us good for a long time with big $$ long term deals (which was his plan in year 1 to stay away from)hmmmmmmmmmmm let me see J got creative got a huge player for next decade....hmmmmmmana got pronger.....hmmmm the way lou lam works cap system and gets creative to keep team a contender...when will JFJ do some of this..and make things happen..overpaying for def isnt creative its stupid and easy way out...the damage with those contracts are hard to fix now and yes these ppl should be reviewed tahst their job..if your a waiter highroller and you drop 15 plates a shift should you be created on people that mark you??? of course you should we as people get flack in are everyday life in what we do he is on a bigger scale.....o we shouldt do this bc wa wadotn stick up for the goof ok.......and the medicrocey will continue for years to come.....sadly
